The Presque Isle Poker Room Introduces ‘POINTS PLAY’

March - June, Wednesday and Saturday Tournament Players will compete for MONTHLY CASH PRIZES and a QUARTERLY PRIZE consisting of a TRIP for 2 aboard the Carnival POKER PRO CHAMPIONSHIP Cruise by accumulating POINTS. 

This is in addition to the normal Tournament pay out!!!

 Here’s how it works:

‘Points Play’ Tournaments will be offered every Wednesday night at 7:30 PM and Saturday morning at 11:30 AM March – June.

The Tournament Buy In of $65.00 will be distributed in the following way:
$40.00 PRIZE POOL / *$10.00 POINTS PLAY KITTY / $10.00 HOUSE FEE / $5.00 DEALER FEE

*The $10.00 collected per entry for the Points Play kitty will be distributed in the following manner:
50% (or $5.00) will paid out in its entirety as a monthly cash prize to players based on their points
50% (or $5.00) will be collected during the entire quarter and paid out as a quarterly prize

Tournament players will receive points from each ‘Points Play’ Tournament in the following manner:

Participation in the Tournament = 5 points
The Final 10 players (the final table) = 10 points
The Final 5 players will be awarded additional points based on their placement
5^th = 15 points
4^th = 20 points
3^rd = 30 points
2^nd = 40 points
1^st = 50 points

MONTHLY CASH PRIZES AWARDED to the TOP 5 POINT LEADERS + an AUTOMATIC ENTRY into the QUARTERLY FINALS.

5^th place = 10% of monthly ‘kitty’
4^th place = 13% of monthly ‘kitty’
3^rd place = 16% of monthly ‘kitty’
2^nd place = 21% of monthly ‘kitty’
1^st place = 40% of monthly ‘kitty’

At the end of the Quarter, the top 5 Point Leaders from each month (March – June) will play in a Tournament for the GRAND PRIZE!

QUARTERLY PRIZES:
Grand Prize = Trip for 2 aboard the CARNIVAL POKER PRO CHAMPIONSHIP + a $750.00 ENTRY into the Poker Pro Championship Tournament

*Grand Prize Winner(s) receive:
An 8 day 7 night cruise for two (October 28^th – November 4^th)

One $750.00 ENTRY into the POKER PRO CHAMPIONSHIP where first place is guaranteed $50,000!!!

Traveling expenses

*One Grand Prize will be given away for every $2500.00 in the Points Play Quarterly Kitty.

The remainder of the money shall be given away in its entirety to the runners up in the following way:

5^th place = 10% of monthly ‘kitty’
4^th place = 13% of monthly ‘kitty’
3^rd place = 16% of monthly ‘kitty’
2^nd place = 21% of monthly ‘kitty’
1^st place = 40% of monthly ‘kitty’

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to participate in the ‘Points Play?’  What if I just want to play in the Tournament??
You can!  But you will accumulate points due to your participation.

Will player’s points accumulate throughout the quarter?
NO.  Player’s points will ‘expire’ (return to 0) on the first of the following month.

Why?
Each month the Top 5 Point Leaders will receive a cash prize + an entry into the quarterly finals.  Once those prizes are awarded, points are reset to 0 for all players, and the contest / promotions resumes.

What if the same player is one of the Top 5 Point Leaders more than 1 month?  Do they receive 2 seats into the finals?
NO.  They will receive their CASH prize (depending on their point placement) but will not receive an additional seat into the quarterly tournament.

Are prizes transferable?
NO.  A player cannot transfer his/her points or prize(s) to another player.

How are points tracked?
The Poker Room staff will track all points using our Bravo System.  Standings will be viewable throughout the month in the poker room.

When will the Quarterly Final Tournament take place?
Early July.
